On 2 October 2026, Argentina’s government set out the price of its new citizenship by investment program. Applications are expected to open before the end of the year. It is the first program of its kind in South America, and the main appeal is simple: you can become an Argentine citizen without first living there.

The main applicant chooses one of these:
The finer terms of the bond have not been fully published, so we cannot yet say what the return or holding period looks like.
Each person you add carries a separate fee.
| Who | Fee |
|---|---|
| Main applicant | USD 350,000 or USD 800,000 bond |
| Spouse | USD 100,000 |
| Unmarried child, 18 to 25, no children of their own | USD 100,000 |
| Child under 18 | USD 25,000 |

It may not suit you if price is the main factor. Caribbean programs generally start around USD 200,000 to 250,000, so Argentina is not the cheap option. What you are paying for is a different kind of passport, and a country you could genuinely live in.
The Agency for Citizenship by Investment will look at each file together with the financial, security and interior authorities. The National Immigration Directorate then makes the final decision. Expect close attention to who you are, your record and, most of all, where your money has come from.
Some things are still unknown. The government has not published the full application steps, the list of documents, or how long a decision will take. We will not guess at these. We are watching the official announcements, and clients on our list hear from us as soon as something is confirmed.
